Devin Case-Ruchala (free of social media) has designated me as the hype person for their new paper at RIPE: doi.org/10.1080/0969.... Devin is a phenomenal scholar, a brilliant researcher, and a great friend. I cannot recommend their work highly enough to anyone interested in public banks and IPE.

Lastly, our approaches also enables the reallocation of parties to clusters over time. In general, stability predominates as we would expect, but some parties (particularly Lega) are reallocated several times, suggesting the value of a dynamic approach.

We also identify two clusters (GAL-right and ethnic minority/regional parties that are almost exclusively present in Eastern Europe, suggesting that applying a common party family scheme across the regions likely obscures meaningful heterogeneity between the two.
