And yes the colors are for accessibility, not short attention spans.

Maybe there is a miscommunication between us. I am not against accessibility, I am cautious of creating content for the specific purpose of catering to shorter attention spans, as Hank's original post was referring too.

I suppose I'm treating AP courses as college. I think if you're doing college work, you should be able to just focus and get work done. But, I agree if the work is only for giving you a well rounded education, easier to digest information is better than quantity & quality.

You're right, my argument wasn't good there.

But if you need pictures and colorful graphics to keep your attention span, I seriously doubt that person's ability to put in the hours work to train their skills.

If you're in an advanced field you need to find intrinsic enjoyment from the work

Because it's a massive waste of time. I often see accessibility go hand in hand with less rigor, meaning advanced concepts take far longer to learn.

At least from my anecdotal experience in software development, the faster you can accomplish more difficult stuff, the faster you progress your skill.
