I served for seven years. I enlisted at 19 years old. I got to deploy to Korea (2018), South America and the Carribbean (USNS Comfort, 2019), and Iraq and Syria (2021)

Of course! So before I started as a student at George Mason University I was a Combat Camera soldier. My job was to document via photo and video the Army's story. Often times deploying all over the world.

Again I will repeat myself. As an American-Jew myself I will not and do not tolerate antisemitism. Unfortunately it is all too common nowadays to see harmful conspiracies about the Jewish People and Hollywood parroted on other social media sites.

There is a beautiful history that ties to the rich American history of immigrants. That Jewish-American immigrants saw movies as a way to artistically contribute to society.

Thank you! This is also a great opportunity for myself to synthesize two worlds that mean a lot to me. My Judaism and my love of Cinema.

The book makes the case that Judaism encompasses more than religious values, but art, music, and a history that isn't necessarily tied to religious tradition. That American Jews live in "two civilizations" the American one and the Jewish one. That both are not mutually exclusive as far as values.

While seemingly far removed from the world of media this book is a good way of separating and explaining Judaism as a peoplehood and not a Religion. This is important since the influence of Judaism on Film is more so with Ethics and Culture and not superstition
