NOOOO my switch 2 already ran out of space. But oops actually it's because I downloaded every game I've ever owned onto this thing. Let me make some room for AoI ...

Being able to see playtimes all the way back to 3ds is super cool. But even Nintendo has bugs with dates sometimes. The date on EVERY Play Activity is early by one day, start / last date is fine. Probably a time zone bug that only affects the Americas.

Our professional guide writers have finished replaying the game and have some additions - new blue ghost and gem locations!

For anyone who plans to play Luigi's Mansion when it comes to NSO next week, here's a helpful player's guide I wrote on a paper plate 24 years ago. It's better than any Prima guide you'll find.

With Windows 10's EOL approaching, why not try something old. I can confirm the next version of TPT will mark the return of Windows XP support.

Can't wait for the direct tomorrow. We played hundreds of hours of city trial / free run as kids. Based on the youtube metadata leaks, it's looking to be exactly what I wanted. Will also be super cool to listen to some of the soundtrack early.

Added it up and I played over 79 hours of NSO Playtest this time. That's more than I spent at my job! I really was addicted lol. Can't wait to do it all again when it comes out for real. I'm prepared to redo everything. Even if the world resets I won't be sad, everything I did this time was saved.

The Nintendo Switch Online Playtest Program was seriously a once in a lifetime experience. It was a game that you couldn't look up tutorials for, and could barely find anyone talking about it at all on the internet, so almost EVERYTHING was COMPLETELY self contained in the game.

Game of the Year for two years in a row, and I don't see how anything could beat it. They made so many QoL improvements since the first playtest. Can't wait til I'm able to talk about it more and share all my screenshots.

Nintendo just announced my favorite game of 2024 is coming back. So excited! More excited for the playtest than DK right now lol.

Adjusting timezones has been difficult. Either I'm really tired during the day, or I take a 3 hour nap and then I'm not tired at night. Slowly decreasing my nap size ... but yeah going back 13 hours has definitely been a challenge.

Had a meeting today with someone who's been tasked with creating a genAI to call my application. Doesn't give me confidence people creating genAI have any idea what they're doing. (No, the AI can't inherently call other applications, someone has to code the integration ...)

I hope the Switch 2 has better wifi than the Switch 1. I can't go online or check out the new NSO icons right now because the update refuses to progress past 1%.

Got another switch 2 order through the Nintendo store. I really wanted the exclusive GC controller, so I'm glad I got the invite. I'll give my other order to my sister.

Staying up til 3AM to watch a Lunar Eclipse? Worth it. Staying up til 2AM to pre-order a Switch 2? Most terrible experience of my life. But at least, 100 minutes and 3 declined payments later, I FINALLY got one through Best Buy.

I took Friday off work because "I haven't taken any days off this year", but the real reason is that I wanted a day off to play Xenoblade. There's so much content and I only just finished Chapter 4.

Everything this article says is true. Some AI companies are so aggressive and masking their activity so well, it's impossible to block them. My website was constantly crashing due to hundreds of thousands of visits per day from bots, from random IPs and user agents.
FOSS infrastructure is under attack by AI companies
LLM scrapers are taking down FOSS projects' infrastructure, and it's getting worse.

Best picture I can do. Finally knocked Lunar Eclipse off my list of space things to see. Very cool! The lead-up reminded me of the solar eclipse with the moon having a sliver cut into it, until eventually it turned red. Not as red as in BotW, but still very noticeably red.

Screw it, I'm going to stay up til 3am to watch the Lunar Eclipse tonight. Will post a pic if I get a good one. Every time I've wanted to see one in the past, it was cloudy. But weather is perfectly clear today.

Bought the FF7 Remake and Intergrade soundtrack. One of the best soundtracks I've listened to in a while. Picked a selection of 3 hours to add to my playlist. Incredible for a game to have so much S-tier music.

Still thinking about FF7 Remake after finishing it this week ... I really want to go right into FF7 Rebirth but I know I don't have the time for that. In the meantime I've been listening to the soundtrack, and it's immediately one of my favorites, not only the remixes but also the brand-new songs.
