Make sure to watch "Waterloo."! I really enjoyed Napoleon: A Life by Andrew Roberts (turns out Napoleon was a ridiculously voracious reader!? Running an empire via letters while leading a military campaign while still reading other books). Also the Aubrey-Maturin and Hornblower books ofc!!

The automatic telephone switchboard did that too, and yet it seems better to live in a world where you don't need to talk to the operator to make a phone call. That's just the definition of automation. Seems like the problem is more around not building enough solar panels and desalination plants

The evidence of bigotry is that a 22 year old accepted a modeling gig? I genuinely don't understand, if someone voluntarily signs an agreement to allow their likeness to be published and then voluntarily gets photographed and then gets published, how is that bigotry?
