Some commentators have suggested that if she had used HMRC online calculator it would have told her the correct rate. This is not the case. Both Trust Law and Stamp duty are complex areas when you don't have simple tax affairs.

Don't forget to keep reporting on what is happening in the West Bank. Is Israel ensuring a two state solution will be impossible as they are pushing more and more illegal settlements and making it impossible for the existing population to live there.

More support needs to be provided to smaller companies who are often the weak link in an attack and also highly vulnerable to lower level attacks. They might not attract attention but it does impact the overall economy.

None here. Though we weren't plagued with them in the past. Not my favourite insect either.

It has been a very dry sunny spring here in Cumbria. The main worry for me this year is the lack of flying insects. I live in the countryside and it should be humming with bugs in the evening. This year doesn't seem to be hardly any. Very few swallows. Not surprisingly given food shortage.

True, but not so in the US. English law has evolved around case law rather than a written constitution. The US constitution is very much still based on the principles in the Magna Carter. Though Trump has already eroded the principle that all men are equal under law.

For a country whose constitution is based on England's Magna Carter, this shouldn't be happening. The ICE pressgangs should not be paid on body count either.

Well, local health centres won't work. These were tried in the 1990s and the NHS just couldn't staff them with those with enough skills. So many ended up in hospital anyway.

We also called the Isreali/Jewish settlers terrorists in the immediate post war period. They were happy to kill British soldiers and others.

A bit of an off the wall comment. But, if they are classed as terrorists does that mean any future damage will not be covered by the insurance industry? Given that many have exclusion clauses for terrorism and force majeure.

No it's not. Assuming it is, is not understanding the long standing issue of the huge disparity of government investment in London compared to the rest of the UK. This has been an issue throughout our history. Probably started with the Normans.

I am referring to comments made on British TV re deportation of undocumented migrants. I am not giving any opinion as to whether or not this policy is justified.

For those of us who don't live in London or the SE, the whole area had been seen as another country for decades. It has had far more government investment than the rest of the UK and continues to do so. You only have to look at education and transport and it runs into billions.

Thank you. I am very aware of what is happening in the Baltic. I am on the same 'side' if that's the right word. I was a sole voice against Cameron decision to slash the size of the armed forces and our total reliance on US.

Your original post suggested that Russia was about to invade imminently. Based on the situation now. I do know the background to all of your comments. It's the scaremongering that can lead to dangerous consequences.

It was also due to the Fire service no longer having lived memories of serious fires. Because of this the risk assessment of a major was not even considered.

I understand all of this but it is still not evidence that Putin is planning to invade. He hasn't succeeded in Ukraine. My question is more about the practical capabilities of Russia to be able to launch a full invasion on more than one front.

It's a shame that the blood donation service stopped going to village halls, community centres etc. Just turn up and wait.

The BBC is hounded by certain lobbyists funded by the Isreali government and any hint of criticism is slammed. The Israelis have been very effective at doing this since the 1980s.
