This Easter, I decided to give my mum a surprise visit.
I started planning it at the start of the week, looking at train times and hotels etc, asking my brother who lived near me if he wanted to come (he couldn't make it) and my brother who lived nearer mum if he was seeing her that weekend.

What? It's April already?

My mum moved to Cumbria earlier this year, so it's a bit weird that this is the first Mother's day where I've not been able just to pop round with some flowers and a card.
