It's only bloody #PortfolioDay again!! I'm Jack, I paint dinosaurs, characters, monsters, etc. Had a fairly active year but a lot of the work was private comms or secret projects! Hope to reveal some soon.
Baryonyx, a fish eating theropod dinosaur, walks along a rocky beach. It has found the washed up remains of a small plesiosaur, which I bet smells absolutely awful. Unfortunate fishermen have snagged a wrathful mermaid with their hook. She is not happy. Dimetrodon, an ancient relative of mammals, stands about roaring dramatically. It was for a trading card, don't think about the logic too much here. Black and white portrait of a Utahraptor, a large, feathered predatory dinosaur. There is a severed human hand in its jaws. Yummy.

Totally not sad that I don't own some of these..

Going for a vaguely early medieval style but there's some that look a bit more modern and some like the seax that are comparatively grandad's knife compared to the rest but I'm not fussed, was more focused on aesthetics.

Played a real fun pathfinder session this evening! However I only would up putting together the character sheet and sketching out a quick portrait in the hours immediately before we started. All was well in the end, and had a lot of fun portraying this skittish, neurotic weirdo.

Not much done today but I figure I should be less precious about what I post on here, so this is a quick sketch of an imagined hewing hatchet of some kind. I'm big into handtools so I should really draw more of this type of thing.

Some portrait sketches done over the past couple days to use as examples for commission work! Intended to be kinda generic ttrpg/fantasy characters - I love getting character comms from people, they're always so enthusiastic about their lil doods!

Hadn't updated blender in a good long while and heard the new sculpting suite was pretty good, so after throwing together a horrible warmup gremlin I was inspired to actually put some effort in, so I did a sculpt of my brother from memory. It doesn't reeeally look much like him but I had fun anyway!

Not in the zone today and got nothing done, so to remedy this i just whacked on some Heilung and spent an hour or so sketching this portrait of some kind of bog lady. Not much of any kind of coherent idea behind this one, just vibes.
