Reading the Devolution White Paper can’t help but feel Isle of Wight is a very literal example of a ‘devolution island’ too small to go it alone and without natural partners.

Just 700ish people (0.5% pop.) commute for work from Hants to IW, 2K other way, hardly an integrated ‘Solent’ region.
