I’m telling myself this is the only reason that Slot hasn’t been sacked yet.

Easily the best show for Liverpool content.

So much surgery needed, even after spending £400m in the summer. 🤦🏻‍♂️

So on that basis, the one thing that can be changed is the coach. It’s sad and frustrating, because Slot has always handled himself with such class, but this mess cannot go on for without action.

Hughes. It appears our summer additions were recruited based on reputation, and not what the team actually needs. Some of the new additions don’t look close to being a good fit.

If you could sack the whole squad - besides Szoboszlai - I would be tempted right now. But you can’t.
November 27, 2025 at 6:26 AM
God knows, but it doesn’t appear Slot has a clear plan for a single one of them - Ekitike included. Shambles.

Slot is on the brink - rightly or wrongly. You can’t spend £400m and be this bad.
November 22, 2025 at 4:10 PM
And nor should they. When you spend £450m, you need to win or at least look like you’ve got a plan for how to use your new signings.

Fairly efficient but predictable, I guess. Hence why he’s underrated.
November 12, 2025 at 5:12 PM
It’s for Slot to provide the solution. So far, there isn’t one. 🤷🏻‍♂️
November 12, 2025 at 5:10 PM
That’s the closest we’ve come to finding an interim solution. More signings will be needed in the longer term.
November 11, 2025 at 2:05 PM
Yes, we were. A common theme away from home. It’s like Slot’s trying to be too conservative on the road.

Josh Williams is always worth listening to when it comes to Liverpool.

No, not necessarily. On paper, they’re top class individuals, but it’s not working in reality atm. Kerkez is a full back that is at his best high and wide, rather than sitting in as he’s being asked to, Wirtz can’t play in the 10 with two of our current crop of midfielders behind him etc.
November 11, 2025 at 1:14 PM
Wirtz’s pressing numbers in recent seasons are elite. Needs to improve them at Liverpool though.
November 11, 2025 at 1:10 PM
Yes - getting the ball to the players than can hurt teams has been a big problem this season.
November 11, 2025 at 1:09 PM
No. It sounds mad to say it, considering we spent £450m in the summer, but they’re going to need to spend more to rebalance the squad.
November 11, 2025 at 1:04 PM
It doesn’t help - as Guehi would help with ball progression - but Liverpool have deeper issues than just ball progression from defence.
November 11, 2025 at 1:01 PM
There isn’t a solution with the current crop of players. It’s full of square pegs. They’ve bought a load of top class individuals without, seemingly, a plan for how they play together.
