I wish prerelease dice looked more unique. Almost every set is black/grey with colored paint for the numbers

If you would like to play cards of various color identities, you must have a commander that allows such deck building. If you want to play Rhys The Redeemed in your elf list, run a selesnya commander instead of mono green. This leads to more interesting deck building in my opinion

Commander is a format because it does not fit the "normal" rules of magic, its in the name. You get to put a card in a special zone where you can cast & recast it as if it were in your hand. Your deck must fit the color identity of your chosen commander. Your deck must be 100 card singleton.
