Really thought this was going to be like, a highly allegorical art-house piece but no there's literally just an evil cave what makes you merge with another being, it's extremely literal and VERY gnarly and it RULES.

I really thought a “horror movie about a couple who really oughta break up” would be a little too slow and ponderous but I’m having a GREAT time. They fill the time with lots of Stuff to do.

For reasons, Dave Franco is forced to make the same motions as his girlfriend, only he's in the shower and she's in the car, so as she's driving through the woods he's being slammed into the walls of the shower, pressed into the glass, unable to help himself, and it RULES.

This movie is so stressful why doesn't Dave Franco wear gloves.

While I (broadly) enjoyed this, I think the Jason character really brings it down as the POV, he's not QUITE interesting enough to carry the thing like he's supposed to, and it takes time away from establishing the characters we really needed (including Demi)
