Digital for Democrats
Replied elsewhere in the thread but TLDR I'm the Senator's digital director and more than happy to admit this is much better than what we posted.

Seeing the rest of your comments – I'm curious about the fewer videos note. Do you recommend posting the lower quality content as YouTube Shorts? Or just skipping altogether?

Focusing on YouTube is a very new space for us (and Dem Senators generally!) so open to any and all feedback.

We're super convinced that YouTube/new media is the place to be (as the New York Times kindly mentioned in this story today).

And we're seeing the results. He's the #1 Dem on YouTube, has grown by 100k in the last month or so, and there's a lot more to come.

The longer videos are tricky to do, since we try to crosspost on other platforms that really hate them, but I hear you on that. Our longer-form content performs great.

As it relates to recording in chunks, the Senator doesn't go off of a script, but we've been testing that as well.

Hi Hank! I'm Sen. Schiff's digital director.

Thank you for this – you're aligned with a lot of what we're tracking here.

We've been doing a ton of testing, and since we posted this video we've phased out the introductions, tested Elon in thumbnails (less helpful than expected!)
