Engineer by day, grassroots football coach and committee member most of the rest of the time. A busy man.
With Episode 29 on the history of archery and the Archery World Cup out now, I'm celebrating at the NOMA Sculpture Garden with some very apt artwork.

Just about the nicest place in New Orleans so far this, and the beignet's around the corner were pretty great too.

This was the post from his understandably proud coach. Incredible stuff.

The best moment I'll see in sport any time soon. That's why grassroots sport and sport in general is so wonderful - the people, the young heroes like Harry and their moments like this.

This is why we love grassroots football.

This weekend, 13-year-old Harry came on in his first game for Lostock Hall for 11 months after being diagnosed with leukemia and spending the year battling it.

With the score 3-3, he immediately scored the winner with his first touch.

You cannot beat that.

There is no better sight in grassroots football than a blue sky Gala day morning. Nowhere I'd rather be.

Respect to anyone running in this heat dressed up. Seen Rhinos (of course), a team of test tubes, fridge carriers and even a poop emoji. If any sporting event can beat that, I haven't heard of it.
