Anarchists (we who create alternatives to the State's systems bc the State doesn't working in our interest) have models for this. Community med care. Feeding each other. Mutual aid of all sorts. Start reading up at TheAnarchistLibrary.org if you're not already connected. 3/4

And I say this as a disabled trans person on 9 medications, with a spouse on meds that wouldcost $15k+ out of pocket/mo.

I'm afraid of what will come. But I know that people do survive this way, have for generations, that disabled and unhoused communities are some of the most communitarian. 3/4

We will survive, build community networks, & practice ways of being of many who've gone before us. Learn from ppl who've been doing this for years/ generations. We will use existing models for community care, bc the State doesn't care about "the least of us" & never has. We will take care of us. 2/4

So much this. Big love and solidarity. This is why it took me 10+ yrs to get from Aspirant to ordination. I regularly considered quitting, too. Concluded it's worth dotting i's/crossing t's to legitimately do what I'm called to do w/ institutional backing. Even if the institution is rly frustrating.
