This is beautifully dystopian. Humans are not meant to feel constant pleasure. People should be able to decide how much conformity and community they want. This feels like a very clever critique of communism. Apple TV knocking out bangers once again! #Pluribus

I don’t know what’s more ridiculous. Rupert Lowe wanting to bring the death penalty back, or owning glasses that unclip and separate inbetween the frames. #PMQs

In today’s Substack I give my take on the Trump/BBC saga.

The BBC has many flaws, but we get a lot in return for the Licence Fee. We MUST defend it against foreign attacks.

Trump's BBC lawsuit is an attack on a genuine British state institution

There’s plenty that the BBC have got wrong under Tim Davie’s watch. Mostly the skew towards the right politically. However, Trump effectively forcing his resignation as he has done with network bosses at home sets a precedent. The British state broadcaster should NEVER kowtow to a foreign power.

Today, I explore Britain’s relationship with race by tenuously linking an old man’s diatribe with heroics on a train.

Utterly shameful this from Reform.

Last year in Northwich, I represented my party (Lib Dems) in the town’s remembrance services, despite our local party not having any elected councillors. It was not an issue for the Town Council whatsoever.

It’s very rare that I praise the Royal Family but they’ve got this one right. Andrew will be forever exiled, not at the taxpayer’s expense, and it conveniently helps the Palace evade unprecedented Parliamentary scrutiny.

Donald Trump didn’t quite win the Nobel Peace Prize this time round, but that won’t deter him from his hypocritical campaign of peacemaking around the world.

Hopefully this comes across as more satirical. #trump #substack

I’ve been terrible at sticking to my aim of writing weekly substacks, but this one is one I’d really love you all to read and share. Here, I question if the far right have occupied mainstream British political opinion, because that’s how I feel right now.

No, it's an ever increasing amount of people around me who are wrong.

I cannot get that video of #CharlieKirk out of my head.
He said that the gun deaths are “worth it” to keep the 2nd amendment.
Words have consequences.
It’s the ultimate fuck around, find out situation, but that doesn’t give anyone the right to take it upon themselves to kill another human being.
