I don't post pics of myself often, but I got new glasses! Feeling great right now tbh.

Pierce The Veil: A Flair For The Dramatic

Never really listened to this band outside of a few songs, but I felt like listening to their full albums.

It's a good emo/post-hardcore record. I like the odd transitions to different sounds on some songs. A great first impression of this band as a whole.

Unexpected GDQ staff picture of me says hi. Staff photos are always unexpected.

Sonic 3: Angel Island Revisited

Just beat a 100% Tails run of this game. Might 100% the other characters at some point. Idk

A bit too long to beat in one sitting casually (Took me a few nights) but it's fun. 2D Sonic is fun, that's all I can say.

Shinedown: Amaryllis

I'm pretty sure this is the album that got me into this band. Probably because one of my brothers would blare My Name and Nowhere Kids on repeat when it came out. Both of those songs are good deep cuts.

Overall, it's a solid arena rock record.

Playing through the GC version of Wind Waker with the BetterWW mod. Watermelon Link is precious.

tfw you like a band so much you go out of tour way to import their stuff.

And I still haven't listened to everything they've put out. I can't listen to the OG versions of those early albums, though. The production is just horrible.

I have this meme saved for a reason. Re-imaging was the solution lmao

I like how the logo rises from the ground in the JP version of Pokemon Colosseum's title screen. Probably one of my favorite title screens in any video game.

The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask (Played on the Zelda 64 Recompiled port)

One of my favorite games. I'm sure I'll play through it more with each update to the recomp.

I'm not one to play games for the story outside of visual novels, but I love this games story. I relate to it more as an adult.

I've played this game many times. This is the first time I've seen this dialogue box since I've never died in the moon trials until now.

I love this game.

Just remembered I started reading through this just over a month ago and forgot about it until now. The art doesn't deserve to be this good.

I really need to read through the first four arcs of Warriors at some point. Just to see if it holds up as an adult. They're about 300 pages each; a bit short

The fact that this scene is edited like this is just unintentionally funny to me. I can't help but laugh.

Avenged Sevenfold: Nightmare

A solid slice of heavy metal. A start of this band's more prog-ish direction they would go for on their more recent records.

I wish the mix on vinyl didn't sound so bizarre, though. I wonder if it's just me.

Also this album turns 15 in a couple of months. Interesting.

Monty Python and the Holy Grail

I've not been feeling well mentally recently. Watching a comedy like this put me in a better mood.

I'm surprised with how much I remember despite not watching the film in years.

The first thing I did when booting my CDX up was watch this BIOS menu for a few minutes. I can watch this all day.

Sega of America must have been on some good stuff in the early 90's.

Sonic CD (1993) (Played on a Sega CDX because I got lucky lol)

Not the biggest fan of this game overall after 100% completing the Sega CD version. The level design is all over the place and the performance leaves a lot to be desired. Especially in the special stages.

Still a good game, though.

Kingdom Heart Final Mix (PC)

My first time beating Final Mix actually. I've had it for years on PS3 and PS4, but never actually beat the game until today.

I'm glad you can skip cutscenes in the HD re-releases. Makes me never want to touch the PS2 version again.

The game holds up surprisingly well

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (Played on a real N64 console. JP copy.)

Haven't played this one since I played the 3DS remake nearly 15 years ago. It's good.

Not nearly as good as it's sequel, but it left a solid foundation for 3D adventure games.

3 Heart run of this game is finished. I like it, but I don't love it.

Played on my japanese N64 copy. I swear it dips to sub-10 FPS sometimes.

Even with the performance issues, it's not a bad game. It's just that I prefer Majora's Mask. MM has similar issues on real N64 hardware as well.

Kingdom Hearts II: Final Mix (Played on PC using Steam/Proton on my main Linux PC)

One of my favorite games. Played on Critical mode at Level 1 for that extra challenge. It's hard

That ending drives me to tears every time I play this game. A great reward for going through this hell of a challenge.
February 21, 2025 at 11:16 PM
Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness (Played on Dolphin out of convenience)

My favorite Pokemon game, easily. It's a bit of a grind to 100%, but not as much as Colosseum.

I always have a smile on my face when playing this game. Funny because it came out in 2005; the peak of the industry's edgy teen phase.

Unlucky Morpheus: Unfinished

I listen to this melodic death metal-influenced speed metal record a lot. To the point where I bought it on CD recently.

It's very short, but sweet; clocking in under 30 minutes. It's an album that's important to me. I'm thinking about getting a tattoo of the cover.
