I saw an article about an undecided voter. She wanted Michelle Obama to run but since she wasn’t running she was voting for Trump. Not all undecided voters are smart. But each side needs those votes to win.

Im not defending them. The second time nobody got a chance to vote on a candidate they just picked Kamala for the party. The middle ground people said no because she was defending the Biden admins accomplishments while Trump talked about grocery prices.

They saw someone who wasn’t a mainstream politician during a time when everyone was sick of mainstream politicians. Someone that promised to drain the swamp. Bernie and Trump represented people that were willing to do things very differently. Hillary represented business as usual.

It’s awful that we have to pick someone that can pull in centrist votes even if they aren’t the most qualified. Bernie was old but folks in the middle saw him not as a mainstream dem but an independent that seemed in touch with the common person. We need another like him. Status quo has got to go

It would depend on who I had to choose from. Who was the opposing parties choices. For dems I think Buttigieg or even a John Stewart democratic candidate might have a good chance at grabbing folks in the middle and actually getting a win for Congress as well as Pres seat

That’s why trump can’t lose because the people in the middle love him. Nobody in the RNC wanted a Trump candidate in the beginning. They wanted someone safe, a “favorite”. Democrats needed a Bernie to win but they got a favorite that pandered to their base.

Democrats will vote for democrats. It’s the people in the middle that win elections. If you alienate them by always selecting your darling hopefuls you’ll always lose. Centrists moderates and libertarians loved Bernie. But Hillary was the “favorite”
