On god, the codex and historical entries from Assassins Creed 2 gave me more of a historical groundwork info than my history class. It made it really engaging

Ok you said you wanted an explanation. I gave an anecdotal example of those I’ve been very familiar with and how they arrived at that interpretation… which I don’t agree with or accept. Go fight with them

Yeah I know that.
I don’t agree with their backwards justifications. That’s just what they do in their heads without realizing it. Or some don’t care and are malicious to anyone not them.
At least it’s how my family and those I grew up around tend to justify it.

Their liberty to control others. It’s a guise of safety and whatnot to justify how they are unwilling to do the mental labor of learning/adapting to something they aren’t familiar with and lash out at.
If someone claims “it’s to protect kids” or “it’s for our troops,” we need to be mad skeptical.
