I was a finger-hovering fan of 40-years-standing at 6pm on Friday, who didn't get tickets....and I got over it in, oh, 2 minutes (based on the odds). Depends if you feel righteously entitled to anything you want, rather than any system being flawed......

Aged 6-14, my hair was cut by a bloke called Bruce in a very old-school barbers in Hertford. One Saturday he nicked my ear, and it bled for 4 hours, during which he became increasingly frantic patching it with more layers. My dad renamed me the little bleeder. Lovely decade, the 1970s....

I read it after the John Martyn one - and is magnificent, making you both want to relisten to the music and value what a singular genius she is. Oh, and one of my brother's friends claimed he'd dated her, and it demonstrates that could have been geographically possible....

Dunno what the answer is - most distributors want so much % that more cinemas are turning to food. My favourite local does a very nice charcuterie board but serves it on a slate platter - I recently was diverted from Babygirl when another viewer 90degreed the board with their elbow in the darkness

Mixed emotions: admiration for such a body of deft and exciting work, slight regret for not more mention of '3 by 3' (one of my favourites) and profound jealousy that one of you owns a signed 'Theatre of Blood' script.

A very imprudent response from GW - there were plenty of other ways of addressing the latest. Without trivialising the whole storm, I'm bugged being distracted watching the current series (there are some great contestants...)
