Science is real unlike Internet fantasy
This is not the basis for peace, but a second step after the 2014 theft of Crimea in the total absorption of Ukraine by the depot in the Kremlin - the third & final step is already pencilled in and enabled by restrictions on Ukrainian defence in this "peace" surrender proposed by the Orange Idiot

It's a Spartacus moment - every single sane member of the US legislature should stand up and repeat the warning that the military must respect the Constitution and not act on illegal orders

No surprise at all that the bumptious Etonian Liar is a bit of a misogynist - his relationship history was a bit of a clue already....

Like the Labour moderates viewing the leadership 2010-2019, the left must reconcile themselves to a long haul that includes Labour losing the next GE

Only then can they influence who is candidate for LOTO (assuming that is not Polanski!) - I hope these choose better then the moderates did!
November 20, 2025 at 1:26 PM
If you resign as an MP you do not get to choose the replacement candidate

And unless Starmer WANTS to get Burnham elected to take over, he ain't gonna be the candidate

And electors do not like parties that play games and make them vote in unnecessary byelections - he might lose to Reform

This is of course totally fake and never happened
BTW "Math" is not a word in UK English
November 20, 2025 at 1:17 PM
Is that "looming" or "looting"?

The US has no business attacking a sovereign neighbour - if it does it is no better than Russia

Whatever you think about the regime there
November 20, 2025 at 1:13 PM
Bit tricky to "play the victim" when you are circling your opponent's vulnerable assets in their locality....

Much more likely this is preparation for inflicting damage should there be hostilities between us

Was sabotaging a polish railway also to "play the victim"?
November 20, 2025 at 12:32 PM
Why compare the UK to the US and not our neighbours?

We have far more in common with them, and the shape of the US graph notably different from the UK one

So - not really a pandemic effect then looking at the dates

Are they all on screens thinking that is life?
November 20, 2025 at 12:25 PM
Those rich buggers moving abroad - it is not the money motivates them - it is the anger at the sheer cheek of a society that considers wealth resulting from living & working here to be something that should be shared more than merely the amount it costs to empty their bins

Better off without them

We KNOW the danger from the hard Right has been transformed by the internet being weaponised by the global rich

But the Left do not get it...
And nor do those in political office despite them who do not try to rein it in
November 20, 2025 at 12:04 PM
But I think the left are so bitter at not winning power, they would rather tear the whole liberal establishment down and risk an actual far Right autocracy than cooperate to remove the risk
November 20, 2025 at 12:01 PM
BS - BNP never won a single seat in Westminster. Did they win control of any councils? Not sure, but nothing like the threat

In effect, the BNP was little Tommy's boys plus core racists in Reform. These toerags always been about - but not a groundswell of 30% of the electorate conned into support
November 20, 2025 at 11:58 AM
The Labour Left actually had ideas and plans that were rejected twice by the electorate...
November 20, 2025 at 10:34 AM
The SWP "outflanked" Labour before Zack was even a glint in his mother's eye.....

There is nothing Burnham can do from Manchester - it was never on the cards unless (v unlikely) Starmer cooperated in the process of his own replacement - then it would be seen by many as Labour taking the piss anyhow
November 20, 2025 at 10:33 AM
There is no continuity on the Right - it looks novel even if it is not. While the Left frankly is just repeating what it has done ever since George Bernard Shaw was alive
November 20, 2025 at 10:28 AM
Totally miss the point - nobody alive today was around in the 1930s. And this is a very different era - a globalised world of communication where one white Afrikaans immigrant to the USA has more sway over our politics than all the aristocrats in the UK put together
November 20, 2025 at 10:27 AM
Crossrail2 is politically impossible until the North of England has a new E-W fast rail link at least under construction

And travel to work in London fell off in the pandemic & has not fully recovered - so there is not really the urgency campaigners assert
November 20, 2025 at 9:35 AM
Sorry - the new, the novel is the politics of cruelty, not Marx re-formatted for the digital age

That is largely the reason why a bunch of grifters espousing Right Populism get support from nigh-on a third of the population
