Cheesy love song that I could imagine myself slow dancing to with a longtime partner when we're old & grey. :)

Now this is the blueprint for Kelly Clarkson's "Stronger" (kidding).

I typically have an aversion to poppy optimistic songs like this, but Neil's sensitive writing makes it go a bit deeper for me (1st verse). Not a big fan of the chorus, but I like how the instrumentals pick up at the end.

As a chronic nightmare sufferer, I feel her pain. Hopefully she doesn't mind having a cheeky song written about it!

Here we go! Liam & Elroy kept cracking me up. If only I'd gotten the whole thing, but I didn't want to be "that guy."

Sooo groovy. I first heard this one on the Gravity Stairs tour just recently, Neil & his boys really shone with their vocal harmonies! I might have a video somewhere.

Another lyrically indecipherable song to me, I think he had some anecdote about a sister, but does he have a sister... ?

Didn't realize that was Liam on guitar! 🎸On second listen it's clear, he's having fun with those pedals as always :)

Makes me wanna dance! Love the little keyboard fills between vocal phrases. The spoken part is extra cheeky. Haven't heard this one before now :)

I just gifted this album on CD to a friend! 😏 (always a pleasure to indoctrinate those around me)

It's a fun opener with those blaring horns, but the "her friend's committing suicide" line always makes me wince a bit. 😭 Oh Neil. Still a fantastically fun album.

As @revdaz.bsky.social said, "swirling" is a great word to describe it! Wasn't an immediate personal favorite from the album, but now that soaring refrain just grabs me. Real tender chorus. Expertly played bassline by Nick.

Could take dozens more listens to make meaning of the words. Classic Neil

Oh thank goodness you're on this app! Means to Me Wednesdays were the only thing I missed about the other one.

All my respect for someone who checkmates themself! ♟️

Joyful tune that cuts through the existential fog. I can definitely hear the 80s pop influence. :)
