All episodes out today. What a great podcast from my pals at BBC Radio Northampton with (as ever) brilliant music and sound design from Julian Corrie. This was very rewarding to work on: bbc.co.uk/sounds/series/…

This was a test I did for the BBC. An animated cold open to episode 5 of The Missing Madonna podcast - made in Blender. I ended up animating half of that episode. It was fun to do.

The Artist Edition of Batman: Year One. The kick of seeing original art in this format has subsided a bit in recent years, but this book delivers the rush. Mazzuchelli’s pen work is less refined than I expected which delivers a great sense of standing at his shoulder while looking through the book.

This is a page of original, but not original, art. I understand it’s from the black and white reprint of Dan Dare in Lion comic in 1970. To make the pages pop in monochrome another artist added ink lines over a b&w copy of the Hampson original. Happy to learn if this is or isn’t actually the case.

A page from deep into the run of the 6000-page odyssey that was Cerebus. It wrapped up 20 years ago but remains the most extraordinary - and at times boring - comic ever published. Such wonderful pacing and artwork. A troubled masterpiece.

HELP.
This is a a Minifon P55 Protona wire recorder. Released in 1955 it was often used for covert recordings. A broken one of these has come my way, complete with a recording - which I cannot play. Has anyone come across one of these, or know who might have a working one (UK based)?
THANKS!
