I largely post about American politics. I might occasionally post something funny, but I haven't yet...so....yeah. Only follow me if you too want to be angry about US politics.
To be clear, I do not celebrate Charlie's death. Two kids lives are permanently altered, and they will undoubtedly fall deeper into the world of hate Charlie fostered. However, I will not pretend to mourn a man who spent countless hours trying to ratchet up the political fear in this nation.

There will be a lot of emotionally charged takes today. All I can say is, I hope his wife and kids didn't see it happen. His kids are too young to understand the kind of evil their father was. All they know is they lost their father, and as a dad, that kills me. But I won't mourn his passing either

I'm having a hard time putting my deep rage and exhaustion into words. Passing this evil bill is one level of rage, but the giddy joy that they displayed their evil is another. Celebrating the most regressive bill in recent memory by dancing to the YMCA is insane. The populace HAS to do something.

As an American that has a lot of respect for our military members, it genuinely enrages me to see them being used as such obvious political props. It also sucks that an event that objectively speaking could actually be pretty cool (250th bday) is being tainted by the tangerine. 1/?

There's a lot of conflicting information coming out about tomorrow's parade/protests. At the heart of it all, just remember to be safe, smart, and aware. Don't instigate violence, but be mindful that some may want to.

LA is Trump's excuse to show just how far and how violently he's willing to go. Even the LAPD, one of the most corrupt departments in the nation, has said that the protests were peaceful. A department that routinely looks for any excuse to crack heads. Buckle up folks, LA is gonna be rough.

Fully aware I may just be looking for reasons to be mad, but the TACO thing bothers me. For one thing, calling him a chicken is just gonna bully him into Not backing down, for another, seems odd to use a latin food to tease the man trying to remove that culture from USA...

The violence we've seen the last couple days, between the shooting at the Capital Jewish Museum, and the shooting at the CIA, is going to become increasingly normal. Especially if this awful budget gets passed. Forcing desperation on people never pacifies them, it motivates them.

A suspension of Habeus Corpus for one, is a suspension for all. Our system of law is collapsing, and not enough is being done to stop it. If they suspend Habeus for 'illegals', then anyone they arrest will be labeled as an illegal. we are no longer a country of innocent until PROVEN guilty.

Harvard just handed all school and disciplinary records of international students to DHS. Absolutely contemptible. They're putting their own students in danger and lying by telling them that everything is ok. These students could be black bagged to Louisiana or El Salvador after this.

The fact that Terry got Trump to essentially admit that he's ignoring the SCOTUS ruling is not getting enough attention. Which, I get, due to the sheer volume of concerning moments in that interview, but he admitted it. He can fix it, he just won't.

I know this isn't exactly a fresh new take, but I feel like I need to remind folks that you Cannot be found guilty of a crime without a trial. After watching Terry Moran interview Trump, I feel this needs said again. They aren't criminals, because there's no trial. Accusations aren't proof.
