IMO senate dems need a shield and Schumer works out for them. I doubt any other senator really has the balls to become minority leader in current scenario. Every position is a lose lose

I would agree to it but neither house nor senate republicans or Trump has shown an interest in opening the government. It basically all comes down to how much democrats want to save republicans from themselves. Only one party can govern and they have no power

Immigration and economy, Well and the Comey letter. He is charismatic, he has a cult following he kept for more than a decade and it only grew over time. He has overperformed his polling every time he is on the ballot. There was no Dem who could defeat him after butler Pennsylvania

NYT wrote something on this. Dems in 2024 went with D+12 advantage but only won the state by +6. several registered Ds ended up voting Trump. thats why the state was close. this is why I am on my seat for NJ race. Mikie should win by double digits here otherwise, its a new swing state
