The ghostly silhouettes on the window are illuminated by the street lamp outside. I watch both fascinated and terrified as they crawl on hands and knees across the glass. Yesterday I had washed my dolls and teddies, put them on the windowsill to dry. How are they alive now? #WriteCBC

I opened the wooden trinket box we decorated together when I bunked off school and hid in her house. Nobody saw what I had taken as she lay cold in her coffin. She would have been tickled pink if she knew, although ma would be furious if she found out I had taken Grandma Tipton's teeth. #WriteCBC

I stared stupidly at the handsomest man who had ever rung my doorbell. I didn't notice the cameraman behind him but then reality dawned when I saw my neighbours milling around behind.

A tongue on my nose. Grief turns to joy. A dream after all: the struggle to breathe, me begging the vet you MUST save him but Pip's eyes telling me it's time - Let me go. I hold him as the needle goes in. But now my eyes won't open. I am still asleep. #WriteCBC
