I got a question, google wasn't helping, maybe someone here knows.

The first NJPW MSG Leauge, MSG Tag League, and Top of the Super Juniors were all round robin tournaments, but with a different point system as today. And I'm trying to figure out what that point system was.

Baker and Powers scored 0 points despite tying twice, leading me to believe a draw is the same as losing. However, Inoki and Backlund won six and tied twice, scoring 34. That's not possible unless a tie is worth two and a win is worth five. So is a tie worth 2 or 0? Final standings for NJPW MSG League 1978. Andre the Giant went 8-0 and scored 37 points. How's that work.
