Agreed, I just find it odd that the outcry came after a GL guy but not when (to be frank) much better professional European professional players have been coming to college hoops

Think it’s either an allow both or neither thing (& it definitely feels weird). Hard to close pandora’s box now though

This was recorded earlier in the week before Izzo’s comments

My thought is I don’t see the difference in a college basketball team signing a G-League player vs them signing an European that has played professionally overseas (which has become commonplace now)

Keep the Derby on the 1st Saturday in May.

Bump the Preakness to the 1st Saturday in June.

Hold the Belmont on July 4.

Gives the Derby winner a modern schedule to where they can race in all 3 (as well as its best rivals).

Better fields, more exposure for the sport w/longer triple crown season

Also worth noting that the ACC/SEC Challenge will be during the first week of December so that is off the table for the week in between Thanksgiving and the Dec 6 IU/Louisville game.

UofL/UK won’t be a part of the ACC/SEC challenge, is it’s own separate entity

Could also do Dec 27 but seems unlikely with it being two days after Christmas.

Also a possibility Of a midweek game like in 2016-17 in mid December but that’d likely be during finals week so coaches don’t usually schedule a lot of games around that time
