I have an idea for a fic that includes a bit of this. Futuristic AU with space travel. Stede is a wealthy dog hybrid (borzoi, more specifically) archeologist/historian who hires retired military human Ed to be his bodyguard/pilot so he can go explore ruins in dangerous places.
