Also, Squid are tricky because they are only a night time fish. You can either make or buy food to help with ur raise your fishing level too. Honestly, just make sure to hit up the Squid Fest on the 12th and 13th of winter as the Squid are available all day and you get some pretty great prizes.

Having an iridium rod that lets you put bait and, in my case, the trap bobber on it REALLY helps. Other than that, if you don't have "Squid bait" handy using Deluxe bait not only increases fish bite frequency but makes ur fishing bar bigger.
