I am a streamer (twitch, see if you can guess my handle), an Author in training, I compose bad music, and create terrible art... you could call me a Jack of all trades... but that would not be my name.
I think Second Dream is the best "Wait... WAIT.... What?!" moments in gaming, that and *spoiler* Jade Shadows - omg the tears; as a 6'3" cyber-viking looking dude, I am not too proud to admit to needing a long cuddle and cry session with my wife after that damn quest. The latest hurt my soul too 😭

It has faults sure, but there are so many "Wait... you can do What now?" and "Holy bat shit, that was freaking awesome" moments... and more than a few "Why you make me ugly cry DE? Why?!". All I will say is most missions post Second Dream deserve way more praise than they get. Again, I'm biased lol

Play it your way, at your pace.
It's a grindy game, but an awesome example of developers genuinely caring about their community... hell, Tennogen is basically skins community members make and sell (DE take a small %), and has put more than one person through college, and they even hired some of them
December 20, 2025 at 10:08 AM
Also, my view of the game is... biased ever so slightly... The Lotus (Rebecca Ford, now basically Warframe Boss) and Community Manager (Megan) actually presided over me and my wife's wedding back in 2016, so we are a part of Warframe lore... so slightly biased. Take everything I say as such, biased

Finally, don't feel that you have to spend plat, in fact, I recommend Not spending money on it until you KNOW you want to support DE. I do because I love the game, the developers are genuinely awesome folks, and the community is great (you do get douche bags, but they're everywhere).

A good clan can make a huge difference too, doesn't have to be a big or well established one, just one with folks who love the game, and love helping folks out AT YOUR SPEED. Sure, I could join your squad, burn you through all of the co-op content in a few days, but you'd never learn or enjoy it.

There are a few bad weapons (Mastery Rank Fodder), but, even bad (unless it's the Paracyst, I hate that weapon) weapons can rock the hardest content with a good build and Frame Synergy. Mods are more important than pretty much anything else, even the most badass weapons suck with a bad build.
December 20, 2025 at 10:08 AM
Final bits non-spoiler advice: If someone says "Oh, don't bother with X frame, they suck", ignore literally anything that they say. There are no bad frames, just bad builds and frames that don't suit your play style. I suck with Ash, but in the right hands, he's a monster for example.

The weird thing with Warframe is that unlike other games of it's type, the main interesting missions and story are locked behind weeks and months of grinding, but when those stories hit... they hit Hard. The Trigger Warnings are there for a reason, I am not too proud to admit I balled my eyes out.
December 20, 2025 at 10:08 AM
As someone with a little experience, concentrate on getting builds up to snuff and those timers melt away. Later you will thank you for it too. Clear a few planets to unlock Nightmare missions as they drop very useful mods, and get some experienced buddies to help farm Corrupted Mods...
December 20, 2025 at 10:08 AM
Yeah, ours was farm owned before we got it, so "maintenance" wasn't a part of their lexicon. We tried to fix it, but eventually the MOT monster came a calling, and you can only cover up so many holes with duct tape, newspapers, and paint.

Weirdly, the best ICE we had was an old Ford Orion Diesel, it was brilliant (for a terrible car), never broke down, and did decent miles per gallon for an old beat-up banger. Shame it got written off, pretty sure it'd still be driving today (with extensive rust management and body work)
December 18, 2025 at 12:08 AM
Last time I drove a Landrover, I wouldn't have been able to do 180 miles in a week, it broke down every 10 miles, almost as often as our old Focus - Fix Or Repair Daily. Though the worst was our old Nissan Sunny... there was nothing Sunny about that damn car, should've been called the Miserable

If there's a serious power cut, we would be living in our car for a few days as our apartment is purely electric. Then, use my dads generator or my buddies solar to charge it. Plus, most evs have more than enough power to run a house for several days with vehicle to load.
December 17, 2025 at 10:36 PM
Never found anywhere that I couldn't charge up along a route, so never had to worry. Did a few 800+ mile a day journeys last year and honestly, took the same time I have taken before, but was less stressed about it in the EV... but the last car I had prior was a Ford... so pretty stressful lol
December 17, 2025 at 10:31 PM
Regards the braking, depends heavily on the car, but there's a mode (usually called B mode... I guess for Brake?) that slows the vehicle (depending on regen settings) when you ease off the accelerator. Some even allow one pedal driving, but I prefer not using it unless on a big hill
December 17, 2025 at 10:09 PM
Also, 160 miles range is pretty low tbh, ours is an older EV and does 220 before it complains about needing to charge in winter, most are 300+ now, with a fair few topping 750 miles. I think anything over 300 is silly myself as my bladder only has 180 range lol

The amount of times Lane Kill Assist in both ICE and EVs has turned AT cyclists to keep me in the lane (until I remember to turn it off anyway) as I try to overtake them is verging on Homicidal Intent. Gods help us if they allow Full Self Driving, there's no way it's ready imo.
December 17, 2025 at 10:05 PM
less jerky, so no thinking about anything but brake distance/weather conditions. The tech I was referring to is in most cars these days regardless of drivetrain hence the "okay" comment as I hate all the extra safety warnings and Lane Kill (sorry, Keep) Assist is dangerous in my eyes.
December 17, 2025 at 10:05 PM
I don't know what car you drove, but I never use cruise control so can't say, I prefer setting max speed, fire and forget with regards speed. The reduced load is not having to think about revs, torque, no worrying about stalling the engine, no gauging for hill starts, braking is smoother and far...
December 17, 2025 at 10:05 PM
There's only a few ICE cars that do this, but nearly every EV does, and it's so nice... I know, it's a dumb thing to get excited about, but damn it's nice. Plus, in very cold weather, no scraping ice off the windshield as it's pre-melted doing that too... Omg... I'm becoming my father lol
December 17, 2025 at 9:14 PM
Oh, and I almost forgot, Pre-Conditioning is awesomeness wrapped in warmth and comfort. Being able to send a message to my car and have it warm/cool so the cars perfect when I get in saves so much time in winter, and is so nice in summer. No sitting around waiting for the car to be comfy.
