When I was a senior in high school, my parents got a 1968 Mercury station wagon with the fake wood sides. Driving it was like piloting the Queen Mary. My grandfather in Dinwiddie, VA, owned the local Lincoln-Mercury dealership and always drove the huge slab-sided Lincoln Continentals.

I saw Santana at the Atlantic City Pop Festival in the summer of ‘69. It was their East Coast debut and they were unbelievable.

Finally found a copy of Fiend at the Water St. Bookstore in Exeter, NH this morning. I told them they needed to order more, since I bought their last copy.

I don’t think Hegseth would be happy with these guys.

Yes, it’s a great bookstore, and I was surprised they didn’t have Fiend. If they’d had it in stock I would have bought it. I take my grandsons there all the time to buy books for them.

The day after Fiend’s release, I went to the Water St. Bookstore in Exeter, NH to see if they had it (I already have it on my Kindle), and they didn’t, nor did they have it on order, despite having a good horror section in the store. I urged them to order Fiend and and told them people will buy it!

I’m not usually a fan of horror novels, but I have all of your excellent spy novels. I’ve decided to jump in feet first to the horror genre and pre-ordered Fiend for my Kindle. There is something about demons and very rich people that rings true.

I spent 1968-1972 at UVa and frequented those same establishments on the Corner. The music we listened to is now classic 60s/70s rock. When the first Led Zeppelin album came out we put the speakers in the dorm room window and blasted it at high volume out into the courtyard. Those were the days…

She would have been a great president. How different the world would be had she won. The people who voted for Trump have done immense damage to this country - and the world - that will take generations to fix. We must not give up the fight.

And don’t forget the Marmite! (Which I actually like)

What a remarkable book! At times heartbreaking, exhilarating, inspirational, and ultimately optimistic about the American spirit. I’ve traveled all over the world but have seen very little of the sites Sarah writes about. This book makes me want to grab my grownup kids and hit the road on Rt. 66!
