I think I’m the only person who doesn’t get the hype around Geese (the band, not the bird).

I always love making a year-end list of my favorite new music I got into, and this year I had to make a top 20 instead of a top 10, because there was way too much good stuff. Let me know what your favorite album of the year was!

Okay, when walking on to a mostly empty train car, what possesses people to sit DIRECTLY across from someone already sitting, making both of us to have to stare awkwardly to the side or at the floor to avoid direct eye contact, when there are so many empty seats? Straight to jail.

Just posted some new covers on my Patreon! I had some fun playing some old school folk stuff, as well as a couple pop tunes I adapted for acoustic guitar, and this classic song by The Cure. I'll be posting one cover a month, and some new original demos as well, so I hope you'll check it out!

This week I listened to albums turning 60 this year. Some great Motown, classic rock, and jazz records were released in 1965.

For this week’s Album-a-Day project I went back 50 years and listened to records from 1975. So much good music that year, from classic rock, to soul, to funk, to jazz.

For the last month or so, I've been trying to listen to an album a day, write a short blurb about it, and once a week I'll round up said blurbs into a blog post. Here's what I was listening to this week:

Managed to go a full two days without hearing any of the new Taylor Swift stuff before a student requested to learn one of the songs. *sigh* It was nice while it lasted.

I don’t think anyone noticed that I was having one of the worst stomach aches of my life during my 3 hour gig last night and I think I deserve an award for that performance.

Wrote about some records that turn 20 this year. In unrelated news, I can tell it’s going to rain later because my knees hurt.

I’ve been on Threads more lately, and I find that app puts me in a terrible mood, yet it’s addicting. What’s Zuck doing over there? Hoping for better vibes here. 👋🏻
