Alternatively, bring back the Usenet. I know, it's not the same architecture & affordances. To be anything like Bluesky it would need Bluesky-level engineering. But Apache is open-licensed, and supported by skillions of developers, donations, & corporations. Probably unrealistic, but I dream daily.
