Remembering one of my best friends, LT Mike Hayes, USN, who disappeared on this day in 1978 while on a routine training fight over the North Atlantic. Mike graduated from the Naval Academy in 1972, hailed Aberdeen, SD, and was a hell of a nice guy. You are not forgotten, brother.

Had a layover in Amsterdam on the day of the Women’s March in 2017 and joined the one there on the Museumplein. That’s local artist and filmmaker, Lisa Galesloot, holding the sign.

Market square in Arundel, West Sussex, our favourite little village in England. Sarah lived near here as a child. We’re in town to visit family . . . and maybe do a little house hunting. And no, those are stars, not Iranian drones in the background.
