You’ve changed your mind about being a pro writer since your post two days ago? Well okay then. What made you change your mind?

It supports the idea that “fellow” is a proper non-gendered word (no matter how British boys prep school students might have used it in 1920 fiction) and we should reclaim it and use it liberally. And that anyone trying to be a pro writer should probably get on and write.

I support and appreciate what you’re trying to do here. Really. But jeez, I wish I had enough free time to worry about how to replace a non-gendered word like “fellow.” Writing must be a constant, tortured tiptoe through minefield for you.
