The venom is incredibly potent and its lethality can’t be questioned

It can kill an adult human within 15 minutes meaning you’ll likely pop your clogs before an ambulance even arrives as 16 people ✝️ have found out to date.

It can also swim so there’s no hiding place 😳 (2/2)

Entrant 47.

The Sydney funnel-web spider. The world’s deadliest spider.

30-40 people each year suffer a bite from this arachnid.

It’s the females you’ve really got to be careful of, boasting fangs which can pierce even hard-toed boots. (1/2)

The Irukandji is a member of the notorious box jellyfish family, boasting venomous stingers which can be fatal to even fit and healthy adults if untreated.

Practically invisible to the naked eye, it stings between 50-100 unlucky swimmers annually.

Small. Silent. Deadly. (2/2)

Entrant 48.

We’re heading back under the waves this week for the Irukandji Jellyfish.

This sneaky bastard is only around 1 cubic centimetre in size but costs the Australian GDP $3 billion in tourism losses per year due to its powerful sting. (1/2)

Entry 49.

Slithering onto the list, the Reticulated Python hailing from Southeast Asia.

Reaching lengths of up to 33 feet, it shouldn’t come as a shock that these fuckers have been documented on at least 6 occasions eating entire people whole!

A true terror of the jungle.

Entrant 50.

The Komodo Dragon. Varanus komodoensis. The world’s largest lizard with a venomous bite to boot. Would totally have way more than 24 attacks to its name if it didn’t live on such a remote island.

I needn’t say more than that. These things make the Deadly 52.

Only 4 fatal attacks have been attributed to Orcas, with all incidents happening in captivity.

But as human interactions increase and their habitat is put under strain, it’s only a matter of time before we see first hand what these marine mammals are truly capable of. (2/2)

Entry 51.

The Killer Whale (Orca). The true apex predator of the 7 seas.

Even Great White Sharks have been known to flee to different time zones to escape these bad mf’ers once they spot them.

Orcas dominate the food chain beneath the waves in every ocean on the planet. (1/2)

Its harpoon can strike 360° in any direction making it especially dangerous to beach goers attempting to pick up the snail for its colourful shell.

However whilst harbouring potent venom, fatal attacks are thankfully rare with only 27 fatalities to date.
Entry 51 next week! (2/2)

Number 52 on the list.

The Cone Snail. A highly venomous species of predatory sea snail. Known colloquially as the ‘cigarette snail’, as when stung by this creature, the victim will have only enough time to smoke a cigarette before dying. (1/2)

This is my list of the 52 deadliest animals on our planet (to humans).

*Disclaimer* It’s very biased.

A new entrant is added every week.
