But I think she will ultimately instead lean into herself, realize that she doesn’t have to be Xavier or Scott or Ororo or whoever. Or emulate how they sound. She can just be Rogue, accent and all.

…but rather it’s about about exploring how, as a leader, Rogue might be tempted to code-switch or to adopt an accent that's sanded down, to shift her identity into a form that matches how she feels authority “should” sound.

Comics thread: some X-fans are troubled by Rogue taking elocution lessons in #UncannyXMen, but I love how @gailsimone.bsky.social is investigating Rogue's identity as a leader through her Southern accent.

Ultimately, I don't see this leading to Rogue ultimately dropping her (now iconic) accent...
