#16: Bo: Path of the Teal Lotus

A very fun and cute metroidvania. I feel like calling Nine Sol “Hollow Knight-like” was a bit of a stretch. This game is Hollow Knight-like. Down to its very bones. It’s WILD. The game is best when you’re just exploring the world. The story and combat are ehhh.

#15: Sky 3: Honor Among Thieves
Finally got around the last game in the Sly Trilogy, and honestly? My favorite game in the series. Fun characters, interesting missions and a great story all make this my favorite.

I have no clue what the hell I just watched by I laughed a lot.

#13: Nine Sols
One of the best games I’ve played.
The combination of the Hollow Knight-sque exploration, incredible combat and a story that nearly brought me to tears, it’s one of the most masterful games I’ve ever played. PLEASE check it out. It’s well worth your time.

#12: Sly 2: Band of Thieves
I played the first Sly game last year and I think this one is definitely better. The structure is perfect for a thief/heist styled game and I wish more games were like this.

Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker
I finally got through all of 6.0 last week and it was fantastic. Absolutely amazing finale to one of the best stories I’ve ever seen. It’s also the second ever game to make me cry too. Please at least try FFXIV. It’s incredible

#10: Muppet Treasure Island
A very fun and enjoyable movie. It has very fun to see an old muppet’s movie for the first time. The puppetry was great and it was very funny.

#9: Marvel Rivals
As some who doesn’t play a lot of shooter games, wow this game kicks ass. I’ve only played for a little bit but it is a lot of fun. The synergy system is great, the characters are fun to play as, it’s absolutely beautiful, what can I say? It’s great and free. Check it out.

#8: Ori and the Blind Forest
A very fun and beautiful 2D platformer. It has a lot of metroidvania elements and a very beautiful art style. All that holds it back is the save system and it being shorter than I expected. Still a very fun game though.

#7: Buckshot Roulette

I’m very surprised at how GOOD this game is. It looked fun from watching it but I was happily surprised at how much fun it is. Still need to check out Double or Nothing though…

#6: Kirby Star Allies

I played this game co-op this time around and I very much enjoyed it. It definitely isn’t the best modern Kirby game but it’s still very fun.

#5: Transformers Devastation

This was the very first character action game I ever got really into. Got a copy very recently and it’s just as GOATed as when I first played it. It is so much fun and I adore it just as back in 2016.

#4: Mega Man 1
A very old game that shows its age in the worst possible ways. I didn’t want to use any cheese like rewinds or the pause exploit but that went out the window very quickly when I hit the Wily stages. Those last stages kinda suck.

#3: Sonic Movie 3
As a movie, I thought it was pretty good. It could have been better in some places but I think it’s very solid.
As a Sonic fan? I loved every second of it and would happily go see it an extra 5 times if I was given the chance.

#2: Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers
I’ve gotten back into FF14 after I dropped it for a few years and was enjoying it. Then I hit shadowbringers and this was the best game I played the entire year.
This EASILY put FF14 in my top 3 games of all time. ECSTATIC to start Endwalker next year.

#1: A Hole New World

A pretty fun Castlevania/Megaman styles 8-bit platformer. It is very rough around the edges but if you want to check it out the game is only $5-$6 dollars on most platforms and is pretty short.
