No one is born an atheist or a theist—it's a foolish idea. Babies aren't equipped with the capacity for beliefs about gods or anything else.

Babies lack the capacity to form beliefs at all. It's not just that they "lack belief in God"—they don't have the cognitive tools for any propositional beliefs. Labeling them atheists makes no sense.

Would you call a goldfish an atheist? Some atheists oddly accept that, but it's equivalent to saying babies are atheists. When we identify as atheists, we mean we've engaged with the concept and rejected it—not that we lack belief like a fish or newborn.

We're not born with innate knowledge of theism or atheism. Babies can't have thoughts requiring linguistic concepts, like gods or religion. Saying babies are born atheists (or theists) is as meaningless as claiming "atheism is a religion." No one starts as a theist either—curiosity comes later!

Claiming babies are born atheists ignores developmental psychology and philosophy. It's a semantic trick without substance. We're born curious, not labeled.

It’s not that babies lack belief in god. So we are all born atheists. Note that babies lack the capacity to have believes, so it makes no sense to say babies are born atheists.

Twitter was left-biased, X is right-biased. Upscrolled seems to be a nationalist/tribalist and would use/boost any content that fits that framework. That’s what we are dealing with.

Dialogue on religion in the online sphere, like this, is no longer interesting or engaging. Theists turn to AI to produce responses to thoughts or arguments they themselves can’t read or comprehend, and more often than not, even AI misses the point—no sincerity to think and probe. What a shame!

The teaching that suffering and hardship are good for you is something we commonly accept in our social spheres. It is a ridiculous, stupid, and harmful idea. It only makes you immune to abuse—maybe more, but nothing less.
