MAGA is fighting each other. Trump's getting old and it's creating a power vacuum. It feels "smart" to tell yourself not to feel hope because these people will never change. But it's wrong.

This sort of lefty poster that rightly blames structural issues for other societal problems all of a sudden becomes a “they eat too much avocado toast!” conservative crank when the parents can be blamed.

No this is very obviously incorrect. Beyond common sense, there is a bevy of research of how much more dangerous driving gets for every MPH you increase. Like cmon.

I think for people that find it concerning, it’s specifically that it’s not a reference to a specific media. They find nebulous brain rot memes weirder and more harmful than some dumb movie quote. Is that a real concern? No idea, but I think that’s a real driver of the discourse.
