Postdoc @ HU Berlin, deep dives in ancient/Byzantine philosophy. Occasional remarks, usual disclaimers.
Doing my favorite early summer activity: hang out in a beer garden and check out the recent pubs.

Out today! Very pleased to see this work in the wild now—honored to have had the chance to contribute a ch. on the "bundle theory" of matter in Gregory's In hex. A must-read for late antique/early Christian philosophy readers: global.oup.com/academic/pro...

Certain Thomist types (like the River Forest'y folks) might appreciate this Alexandrian take.

Pleased to announce my project's highlight workshop coming up April 9-10 in Berlin, on the various visions of Greek philosophy, covering a wide swath from Plato and Aristotle to Nietzsche.

With 17 talks, a dense yet rich set of discussions ahead!

Since it doesn't happen much, here's the current vibe lately here, between my (now-daily) running schedule.

Honored to contribute to this vol. - finally coming out in April! On Gregory's account of creation, with Greek/transl. + short comm. ch's. Evidence that early Christians do interesting philosophy.

Many thanks to Johannes, Anna, and my other colleagues!
