Still a socialist, a doctor and a dad. Still coping via memes and political rants.
Most on the left can understand reluctantly voting Labour.

What's annoying are the people who actively celebrated Starmer, hated on anyone who wouldn't vote Labour and now cry 'nobody could've predicted this'. A little introspection about who turned out to be right versus wrong would be nice.

He does realise now they've publicly pledged to support the amendment the government has to do SOMETHING, right? Otherwise MPs will look terrible if they reverse themselves.

You missed the modern solution, which is to use so much HDR it looks like a AI render on LSD.

What is slashing disability benefits and the winter fuel allowance if not 'bold'?

I don't think they've been too timid. They've been too fucking awful.

Eh, gotta have at least once vice. Don't want to end up in hospital at age 90 dying of nothing.

They tried to get it under surgery but it kept getting passed around until eventually medics agreed to take it.

And even if he had chronic pain he'd still have to balance his good days/energy levels/spoons etc. between going out with his friends and spending time with his girlfriend. Or helping her.

That's the lie of compound interest in a world of finite resources.

The ONLY way to keep the rich fed with their regular percentage returns is for them to cannibalise the rest of us.

Funnily enough also exactly what a doctor should be.

It's a pretty foolproof scheme because they just have to reverse causation. Of course the measles didn't kill them, don't you know 33% of people who enter a hospital die? Hospitals kill people!

Maybe she hates HIS cooking and needs to take the taste away.

Maybe his cooking's bad and she needs something to take the taste away.

So close to realising that traditional gender roles absolutely don't mean a man "taking care of" you, but just going out to work and basically doing whatever they want.

"Hopefully when I'm found dead someone will want me" is a weird vibe.

Indeed. If diagnoses are increasing it's because a) we're recognising mental health issues better, and b) our environment is becoming more pathogenic of mental illness.
