Work in progress

The sides are now fully bent into their final shape and are loosely held in the solera mould. Next I will trim the bottom end of the sides and make the back piece which is just a small piece of hardwood that the two sides glue to at the oversite end to the neck. Works cat has to do the inspection.

Both sides of the guitar are now thicknessed to the correct size and one of them is in the side bender. It will come out tomorrow at 2pm and the other will go in for 24 hours.

I am cracking on now, the neck is almost done with just the fine sanding and grain filling to do. I have also shaped the head differently and it more resembles the head of a Ramirez. The top has been fixed to the neck and it is now resting in the solera. Onwards now to the sides.

The bracing is now complete on the top and back. Next I will work on the sides and the neck. The rebuild is going well for now.

More work on the soundboard and back today and the fantastic news is I have managed to get the slight bow out of the fretboard that the rain caused, happy days. Tomorrow I will be sounding the top and bracing both top and back.
Be Happy.
