Programming languages are not the barrier to people who don't know how to program creating systems. Understanding how to build and specify systems is.

But schematic diagrams are not for machines, they're for other people who can understand natural language, to read. Yet still they are important because they allow us to specify a system efficiently and unambiguously in a manner that natural language can't.
