Mainly music.
Here are a few underplayed albums I decided to pull after watching the run of producer Erik Jacobsen’s homemade, YouTube, mini docs. Recommended viewing. I love the commentary in that lugubrious voice of his.

Michael Hurley was a big Tom T. Hall fan and covered his "Negatory Romance."

Cage is excellent in this one as well.

Trash featured well-established heads of the 80s/90s NZ scene. Great band!

Let’s play another Tabane LP. Incredibly this was released on US Atlantic.

Philip Tabane is one hell of a guitar player. Sounds as if James Blood Ulmer and Joseph Spence bonded to play some deep African tribal music. Sick!

One of the best rock autobios out there.

Hot collections circling through Stereo Jacks.

I can’t believe how sick this new NIS LP is. Album of the year.

A favorite.

This band was so hot.

It’s beyond me why this LP is not even a secret handshake among cognoscenti. A great unclassifiable freakout record.

The Call is sick, but unfortunately expensive.

Decided to play through this fantastic 6LP live set after reading a nice article on Tim Buckley in @mojomagazine.bsky.social

I still can’t wrap my head around how this double gatefold gadget cover works. Cool it is, as is the Edgar Broughton Band of course.

Luiz Gonzaga Jr’s 2nd LP from 1974 should appeal to fans of Veloso, Gill, Ben, Nascimento, etc.

Any Colin Potter fans out there?

I’m not up on Lateef’s complete catalog, but this one is a corker. I love jazz that incorporates the often maligned harmonica.

The first Luiz Gonzaga Jr. LP. Gorgeous Brazilian sounds from 1973.

Heb je dan ook de pre-Shanks band the Moonies met ondergetekende op gitaar?
