I tried to sit as far away as possible from him for dinner. And I didn’t get the sense that the “community engagement” that Jeremy talks about in his thread was for the benefit of *science*, it was for the benefit of James Watson. That is all I have to say about him. 3/3

But in the space of 5 mins after arriving he’d managed to say things out loud (anti semitic, racist, misogynistic) that eventually left me speechless… I pushed back initially about the racist & antisemitic stuff but was so personally affected by the misogyny I had nothing left & had to walk away 2/n

OK so everything uploaded is in a closed environment somehow? (I dont know the right words, sorry!) As a journal editor, this would be super helpful to know... I would be interested to think about how it could be incorporated into workflows if it could be done ethically (respecting IP, etc)
