Funnily Google reminded me that I was at the JLR plant in Nitra today 6 years ago. They were just revealing a new model.

Hydroelectric power plant on the Swiss-Italian border used to electrify the nearby railway.
Interior of an old industrial building with large, rusting orange and blue turbines lined up along the floor. One of the turbines houses a small bird's nest under a yellow mesh cover. (Not visible, but birbs are always worth mentioning) The orange paint on the machines is peeling, and the floor is dusty and worn. Distillation column and some rusted tanks in an abandoned Italian distillery. This place was an endless parade of cylindrical shaped objects, pipes and barrels.

The admin building next to the power station was quite boring, but the IT office had some treasures. 1998 edition of MSDN, a mint condition Oracle Web Application Server for HP-UX and a big red binder marked AFE Y2K.

Brick smokestack and two Franco Tosi turbines, 2840 kW each.
Brick smokestack in a small courtyard visible from base to the top. Clouds above create an illusion of actual smoke still coming out of it. Two steam turbines with connected alternators and control panels on the side. A large generator with a catwalk is behind the turbines. An overhead crane is above the generator.

Decommissioned power station in an active industrial area in the north-western part of Italy.
Industrial equipment in the middle of a large room. Metallic pipes and valves twist and turn. Yellow metallic stairs and catwalk lead on top of the pipes. Light comes through the large windows from behind the machinery and drops the shadow of it onto the floor.

Some of the last photos ever to be made in this abandoned chemical plant. Good thing the demolition crew doesn't work weekends.
View through the door, or rather opening where the door used to be, from remains of a building. There is rubble right outside and a still standing part of the chemical plant with catwalks around it. The sky behind it is very blue without a single cloud. A staircase that is clinging to the wall only by the power of its stubbornness. The wall is covered by ivy with vines creeping through the windows and on the floor. Only roof windows are out of its reach. Clear Saturday sky can be seen through them. Four medium sized storage tanks for chemical processing. They are almost turquoise and at least on the outside seems to be made out of wood. The floor is definitely made out of wood and not turquoise. Whatever was made in these may have been very corrosive. You should really watch your step on the wooden floor as it has seen better days. The tanks have motorized lids that can be opened. The opening mechanism is painted yellow. The photo is probably on the second or third floor as the floor below can be partially seen.

Went for some fancy drinks yesterday.
A Gin Fizz served with a single large ice cube inside. The drink rests on a small LED coaster, casting pulsating purple and green light through the liquid, creating a glow. A carefully crafted drink rests on a small wooden plate, illuminated by a circular light. Inside the glass sits a single, nearly perfect cube of ice. Covering the top is a biscuit shaped like a leaf. Behind the glass, on the same wooden plate, is a small bonsai tree, adding to the elegant aesthetic. The drink, called Lux, is made with a blend of Gin Tanqueray No. 10, Passion Fruit, Paragon Rue Berry, Tio Pepe, and Prosecco.

Don't forget that today is the Holy Prepuce day! The thing that made the rings around Saturn. Well, at least based on an unconfirmed 17th century treatise discussing the foreskin of Jesus.
