I don't know anything about choke holds or Marines (my uncle was one and didn't talk about it) but I believe the killing was unintentional. I'm not sure it's even criminal. Maybe better education is needed when training on these choke hold maneuvers? I would expect no veteran to ever repeat it.

That's not calling out evil, that's being evil. Let's consider the wider implications of this please. This looked like a professional hit. We commoners didn't get anything out of this.

The point here is about murder in broad daylight by a possible professional hitman regardless of who was targeted. This is not a good development for public safety and national security. Things like this can start a trend. It's not good at all.
