I can't really comment on your point about Destiny. I don't watch him enough to know. I know he argued with progressives for like a year(which is the opposite of deplatforming). Even if it's true, the fact that his whole goal is to move ppl away from trump is enough for me to focus on others

I'm not simply 'defending' destiny. I'm attacking the points you and that other guy are making that showcase a *general* toxic trend in the left- like acting like liberals and republicans are the same, or always looking for ways to shit on liberals we don't agree with.

The infighting between progressives and liberals is idiotic when there is such a huge threat to our country. As said,I'm a progressive but making enemies out of the our biggest voting block is NOT the move. Until Trump is out of the picture I will not waste time criticizing progressivesOR liberals.

These are changes that cause irreparable damage. Not to mention other well-known facts like Trump having the ability to appoint 5 FIVE supreme court judges who serve life long terms. He is legitimately undermining democracy and changing the political landscape of our country in irreparable ways

Outside of the democratic primaries, progressives should prioritize the wellbeing of the country. The fact that Trump has made it so that the President has CRIMINAL immunity while in office AND tried to submit FAKE electors should tell you that the two sides are NOT the same.

My comments are aimed towards those who demonize liberals at the expense of the left. The conditional statements are there to apply if the shoe fits.

My points are simple.

If you are progressive you should:
Campaign, vote in the primaries, and/or protest for change in the democratic elections.

This is hilarious. Did he prove that he was politically active or voted? No, so I'm working with the same amount of evidence as when I first made those comments. You should ask yourself why I made them in the first place.

"Democrats right now are no better than fascists." This heavily implies that they didn't vote. Why would you if both sides are the same. Thinking both sides are the same in the current situation is incredibly idiotic btw.

Notice how I used conditional statements. Some are targeted some are not.

If you don't vote, protest, or campaign then your voice and opinion are irrelevant
November 29, 2024 at 1:31 PM
If you truly care then campaign and do your best to push a progressive candidate in the primaries. The general election is NOT the place to divide your side when the opponent is the greater evil. If you didn't vote then you are IRRELEVANT and we're better off without your opinion.

If you think a progressive like me is calling for 'needless' fighting because I am making the point that we should have united against Trump then you're too far gone. We are one group. We had one candidate, not two. No way in hell would I throw destiny or cenk under the bus when the enemy is Trump.
November 29, 2024 at 1:46 AM
Two things can be true at the same time. The useless infighting within the left is a huge factor and something we have control over. Not to mention it's a lot more difficult to run a campaign if you're having to pander to two sides that are at war with each other.
November 29, 2024 at 1:26 AM
And people like you are the reason why the left was not able to unite against a much worse force.
